Dr. Lengyel earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California at San Francisco, one of the highest-ranked medical centers in the country. She then completed a clinical residency specializing in Primary Care at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. After practicing clinical pharmacy and teaching pharmacology at the university level for several years, Dr. Lengyel chose to return to California to develop progressive healthcare services in the community setting. Her scientific training bridges several disciplines including Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy and a National Board Certification in Nutrition.
Dr. Lengyel trained under some of the most eminent healers of our time but didn’t stop with her original education; she has continued to research how to treat conditions more effectively, giving not only faster short-term results, but also more lasting long-term stability. During the past 20 years, Dr. Lengyel has acquired extensive expertise in the field of Functional Medicine. The focus of Functional Medicine is on finding the underlying causes of symptoms, and in bringing the body’s physiology back into balance. She accomplishes this “return to balance” with the therapeutic use of Clinical Nutrition, Professional Grade Supplementation, Medicinal Plants, Lifestyle Strategies, and Homeopathic Medicines.
Dr. Lengyel has an office-based practice where she coaches patients on how to ‘Live Healthier Longer’ by taking a more active role in their own health. She conducts preventative ‘Longevity Check-ups’ for active people who want to STAY healthy, as well as working with people who have chronic illnesses and wish to improve their health. She specializes in issues such as: Fatigue, Women’s Health, Healthy Weight Management, and Reduction of Risk Factors for Heart Disease, Stroke, Diabetes, and Cancer.
